How to deal with dangers

After you put the creature in the area, you need to eliminate it or the whole map will be full of creatures soon. the second thing you can do with 1 action in the player phase is to deal with 1 danger. You may encounter 3 types of dangers in the game. Here’s how you should deal with each type of danger.
Creature card
The first type of danger you may have is encountering creatures. Before we start demonstrating the process, you need to know how to read a creature card.
You can only deal with 1 creature at a time. Normally, you need to spend 1 action to do it. Under the following situations, you are forced to deal with the creature without spending any action. It’s called first engagement.

When you have to draw a creature card
-
When you move in an area with creature(s) in it
Whether you spend actions to deal with creatures or not, you can only attack the creature in the player phase. Here’s what to do to attack creatures.
1. Select a creature
If you move in an area with more than 1 creature in it, you are forced to have first engagement with all of them one by one. Otherwise, you need to choose 1 creature to attack at a time.

2. Check player status
After you chose your target, you need to check your player status before making the attack. Since you are attacking the creature, you will have to check your attack status.

3. Check the result
There’s always a possibility that things don’t go well. The orange die serves as that possibility. Please sum up the number from your player status and the result on the orange die. Then check if the number exceeds the creature’s defend points.

4. Win or fail

Boss Card
The second type of danger is boss. Boss is another type of creature. It only appears in a special location, not from the creature deck. Click the picture to see the differences between boss and normal creatures when you attack them.
Trap Card
The third type of danger is trap. You don’t have to spend any action when drawing a trap card, but you need to deal with the trap you drawn,or you can’t do other action. Before we jump into the demonstration, you may want to know how to read a trap card.
Here's how to deal with traps
1. Select a solution
To get rid of the trap, you have to choose 1 of the solutions. In the box, the left side is the criteria to pass the trap while the right side is the harm you will get if you fail the test.

2. Check player status
After you chose a solution, you have to check if you can pass the criteria. To do that, you need to check your player status first.

3. Check the result
Throw the orange die after checking your player status. Then, you need to see if the result matches the criteria or not to know whether you pass the trap.

The solution you selected
4. Match or do not match the criteria for the solution
If you successfully match the criteria, you can take out the trap card from the area. However, if you don’t match the criteria, you will get hurt for not passing it. Whether you get hurt or not, you need to put the card back into the bottom of the creature deck after that and this action is finished.
NOTICE: if there are multiple players in the area when a trap is drawn. The action is only finished when those players take turns to select a solution.
